Reports elsewhere indicate that Channex are behind yet another low cost start up.

Considering it seems not so long that they were only flying a Herald with flowers from the Channel Islands do they have the financial base for such expansion ?

Whoa! Seems like yesterday......

Two Heralds in 1982. That's twenty years ago for starters! Then on to around 7 Heralds and 4 Electras. Heralds replaced with F27s all fitted with modern nav kit. Down to 1 Electra but replaced by 4 A300s, and now 6 B737-300s all doing well on pax/freight charters.

Twenty years ago - where were easyJet, Go, Buzz, JMC, Ryan Air, AirTours and Air 2000. Too big, too soon Nah! PM just went about his business quietly getting bigger as freight carrier. Most of the SLF carrying pilots wouldn't have noticed!

Best of luck with Jet2 Channex!

You have misinterpreted Findus me old, it would seem Channex will be operating 'for' Globespan . Its just them doing their normal 'thing' with the 73.
PM always seems to have taken a relatively conservative approach to growth & as much is proven by the fact that the company is still in business & paying dividends in a tough market which has seen the recent demise of many.
