Hello,

I've heard from several sources that you can work a 50% schedule at EasyJet. Does anybody know what the terms are regarding actual scheduled flight time/days off/pay?

Cheers!

Yes, a number of our pilots, mostly Captains, the F/Os want the hours, work a 75% or 50% roster. I'm afraid I can't quote the terms, but understand it's 50% (75) of everything, pay, days off, pension, work days etc( simulator etc for trainers). Don't know where leave comes in to this. I don't know whether you can get employed on these terms or if you have you work for them already.

Not much help, but any helps I hope.

Hi there,

A 75% roster in a 4 week cycle means:
-3 weeks on
-1 week off

During the week on, you work generally 5 days on and have 2 days off. Obviously, 75% of basic salary, pension etc plus full sector pay on the sectors you fly.

I hope this is useful. ;)

And usually means the same old 900 hrs per year stuffed into those 3 wks per month, which hardly seems fair?

In other words you're foregoing 25% of your salary (£15000 for a Captain) to obtain the lifestyle that they could so easily give you anyway if they could only be bothered...
However £15K off your wages soon makes them sort out the roster, doesn't it?

Not too impressive, is it?
