Going to Boston in the Summer.
Anyone know of any schools where I can hour build for a JAA license?
Also, anyone know where I can get cheap car hires in Boston?

I don't think you need any special requirements to hour build, just a place to rent a plane.
It is not as cheap up here as in some parts of the states, but there are some good facilities.
The two GA airfield around the outskirts of Boston are Hanscom (Bedford KBED) and Norwood (KOWD), take a look at the following two links for more information.

Including a list of FBOs, I've not tried any at OWD, but both the guys at BED run very professional outfits.
Hanscom has the advantage of having an FAA office on site if you need to get your temorary license.
As for renting a car, if you really need one I find the best rates are available on the web through expedia etc. Hanscom is on a Bus route, not so sure about Norwood.
