Hey All,

Im just after some info regarding the metro if possible.

Do Aus Air Express still operate the EE's into Adelaide on night freight at all? And if so..where from/to?

Also, how is a standard descent calculated i.e distance out and at what f/p/m etc? Maybe also..any other info such as flap settings on take off etc

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

Takeoff

Set flaps to "t.o." for takeoff indicates 1/4

Descent profile "three times"
(descent cruise fl-desired height)/1000x3

eg cruise fl220, approach height 2000' = 20000ft descent

20000/1000x3=60nm

Some operators add extra miles for straing in on the ILS, or a 5 mile slow down

Start at about 1500 fpm - set the pressurisation for the cabin to come down at 500 fpm

Thanks Zeke!

I had given up on this post, but very much appreaciate your info.

Still after info regarding AAE's ops into YPAD at all??

I know HZ sadly stopped the HS748 services a few nights ago which is a shame. Used to love hearing those noisy bloody things! Now served by a 146.

Three to one for the drop?
That's pretty shallow!
I used to use two to one with pax, and one to one for freight, though adding a couple of miles to slow down.

D'oh!
Yeah, I forgot that I promised to write up that story ... I'll try to do it in the next couple of days.
