Good people,

Would like to take advantage of the voice communication available on MSN.. but unfortunately neither Messenger for OS9 or OSX feature this. On top of that, running Messenger through Virtual PC (Windows XP Home) is not playing the game.. I'm using an iBook G3700, running OSX mainly, but of course bootable/switchable to OS9 Classic (!)

I refuse to believe that there is not a Mac based solution that will allow me to talk to Windows PC users. Would prefer to use Messenger, or NetMeeting, but is there another way? Like all Mac users, I am basically technophobic, but have a reasonable systems grasp.. read.. I know where the "on" button is! Does anyone have any advice, or experience they can share..?

Thanks in advance, appreciate any thoughts,

I recommend you take a look at PGPfone. It is available in Mac and Windows versions and is free. As the name implies, it also has the merit of keeping your internet telephone calls private. While it might not defeat the latest government computers, it should certainly keep your conversations private from lesser or more casual snoops. If you live in the US or Canada you may get a copy from the MIT site: http://web.mit.edu/network/pgp

If you live elsewhere you may obtain it from the PGP International site: http://www.pgpi.org/

Good luck!
