PPRuNe Dunnunda very first Oz Job thanks to .. OpsNormal

To those it may concern……
Rumour has it that an operator in the centre of the country will have a position opening-up in the new year, due to upward movement and expansion within the company. The position is one that carries with it the responsibility of operating an already established satellite base located on a busy cattle station near a major tourist attraction.
Responsibilities include:
All aspects of running a remote base away from direct supervision. Maintaining correct and auditable records and accounts. Dealing with the public, and maintaining a bush airstrip to a required RFDS standard. There is much more to the operation, however here is not the place to discuss it in it’s entirety.
The suitable candidate WILL POSSESS:
Around 400hrs total time as an absolute minimum.
Proven ability to operate a 200 series Cessna under demanding conditions (ie; a long way from help if something breaks, short and high density altitude bush airstrips, remote area navigation), and to have a sound working mechanical knowledge of the aircraft and it’s systems (no, you do not have to be an ame/lame, but some a/c workshop exposure will be looked on as a favourable quality to possess).
This position carries with it certain other aspects that involve being able to “fit-in” within a small, tight-knit station working community. The successful candidate will be selected for his/her ability to take to the business and grow with it as a member of one of the most forward looking and growth pro-active GA organisations in the NT. There will be a short trial period at the beginning of the successful candidate’s commencement of employment, where performance will be assessed. This is an “above and beyond” type of position, so only those who possess a high work ethic, and a will to win should apply.
Please do not reply here to this post on this thread. Instead, interested parties (and only those who actually possess the min requirements please), should forward their short 1-2 page CV and contact name and details to my email address available through my profile. Make the subject heading “Application CV”. The most suitable candidates will then have their CV’s forwarded-on up the line.
Please do not apply unless you actually meet the requirements that have been set down here. I will also endeavour to reply to each unsuccessful candidate via their contact details, so please be patient.
Many thanks to Woomera and Windy for allowing us to place this “pprune only job”.
