My 7-year old nephew wants an aeroplane for his birthday. What should I get him, a Boeing or an Airbus? :D

Try to negotiate the best deal that you can - make sure that training comes as part of the package!

Get both just incase he doesnt like one. Quite cheap they are, maybe about 70m for both.

Oh and get me one while your there, a nice new Airbus A3XX, probably about 200m or something like that.

I don't want to play moderator here but AfricanSkies if you really want to post this kind of IMO Inappropriate questions that make no sense why not try the more unserious forums on this site like Jet Blast (http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=16) .
Also this is just asking for another undesired wind-up.
Come on is this for real???
Hope to see some people grow up and keep these forums a more pleasant and informative environment.

Boeing 757 - 200 :))

Best not have him swallowing a plastic tail, so go Boeing. :D

Negotiate with both about buying off your nephews old aircraft models as part of the deal. A successful dutch auction should result. And make sure that modelling glue and a fully-integrated CBT instruction course are part of any package negotiated.

I can see what this topic is about. Flying Spaniard, I think its tougher to find mature topics on this forum than immature topics. But I suppose learning the Black Adder language and talking about breast implants is much more mature and informative so maybe we should stick to those kinds of debates. ;) LOL

African Skies, maybe you should go with Boeing. They seem to be losing to Airbus at the moment. It might be nice to help them out a bit. You never know, if they get really desperate to sell more of their B767-400's, you might get two of them for the price of a single A330.

It is my honour to announce the revised list of Airbus nicknames:

A300/310 - will in future just be a Bus, except for the A300-600 which some call the Bendy Bus (inserted to please US citizens)

A319 - EasyBus

A318/320/321 - Minibus

A330 - Middlin' Bus

A340 when operated by VS - Red Bus

A380 - Double Decker Bus

A400M - Mili-Bus

ABJ - Executive Coach

.....isn't boredom great!
