Hi there! I am a pilot, however i fly a different type of aircraft. The type that you may well ahve guessed from the title. I am only 19, but am interested in what fixed-wing pilots views are on such aircraft. Feel free to slate us if you feel that way inclined!

A very civilised way to travel I would have thought. Partial to a spot of gliding myself but would love a ride in a balloon if you're offering!

Some friends gave me a hot air balloon ride as a birthday present recently.
Have to say I'm looking forward to it, but the company doesn't know when they can take me because of Foot & Mouth!! Sounds like their whole operation is shut down, because they can't determine exactly where they're going to land - and it could be on a farm.
It's an outfit in Kent, can't remember their name. Looking foward to it in summer though.
