View Full Version : Are Gas Masks illegal on aircraft?

A gas mask is a pretty innocent and innocuous kind of item to carry on to an aircraft, isn't it? Might be explained away under lots of pretexts.

Would airport security personnel confiscate such an item from a passenger?

Suppose someone carried one on board and then released a nerve gas (or sleeping gas?) from a plain old aerosol can?

The Russians seem to have realised the assistance this could provide in a threat situation.
It could be used to equal effect by the bad guys.

Hope someone in the security business has considered this.
