Anybody over in Florida reading who has just started ATPL Residential ground school in the town/centre that shares a name with one in Italy?
Don't know whether I can mention the school because of advertising etc etc.

I know you only started on Monday but have just booked mine for Jan 2003 and what to make contact with some people on the course do get some hints and tips on accomodation and things.

Hope its all going well so far (day 2!!)

I believe that the groundschool is being run by the person that ran IFTA before losing approvals, so you might ask for comments from people who had experience there.

Are they advertising as part of Naples Air Centre, or of Ambassador or are they independent as a groundschool? (I know the reputations of these organisations, which would indicate something about likely quality of any subsidiary. Note I am deliberately not saying whether their reputations are bad or good on open forum! )

Your quite right it is the same guy, he 'moved' schools!
The course I'm on is at NAC, starting Jan.

Can you email any details/comments you may have to [email protected] if you have a moment?

Thanks

Send Clowns,

The program is being run by Chris Neaves. He did setup the program at IFTA as he did with Atlantic Flight Training and Flight Training College.

Chris is part of the team heading the new ATPL Ground School Program.

When you say:

I believe that the groundschool is being run by the person that ran IFTA before losing approvals, so you might ask for comments from people who had experience there.

I am not sure what you are trying to imply? Naples Air Center, Inc. does not take on any endeavor unless it can run professionally.

Mr. Neaves was the reason IFTA was approved to conduct the Residential ATPL Ground School. When he left their employ, IFTA no longer met the staffing requirements to continue offering the program and therefore lost their approval. That was the only reason.

As for the program at IFTA, Mr. Neaves was not able to run the program as he so desired. At Naples Air Center, Inc. the entire team has been given all the support and resources required to produce a ground school program that we believe is comparable to none offered on the market to date.

Should you wish to receive further information on our program, I ask that you contact Naples Air Center, Inc. directly.

Take Care,

Capt. Richard J. Gentil, Pres.

I was just passing on what I know of the school's background. I would have to say that the reputation of Naples Air Centre I have heard is extremely good, so I am glad it is you involved in this with Mr Neaves not any other organisation in Naples. I was only aware of location, not the training organisation involved!

All the best with your new venture!

I agree with you Carbonfibre in regards to his attitude, it really sucked, no people skills at all.

I think you should all stop making slanderous remarks, the person in question has been very helpful in giving myself and a small group of others information that will hopefully lead to the downfall of IFTA's owner. The owner is the one you should be commenting on, not the poor people in his employ, who were just following their leaders orders.

I am not opening this to debate and comment, but the comments hidden behind faceless postings (barr sendclowns, and Richard at NAC) have distored a rather mundane post for information.

Lets leave the like of IFTA and anything to do with them out of this forum and website, we for sure dont to be giving this business any type of free advertising that this post is now allowing him to enjoy.

JUST REMEMBER WHAT THIS FORUM IS FOR, we should aim to ALL keep it that way.
