Rude C'man

Over the last year I've had a problem with the old NVG's so I popped down the local contactorised opticians to have my eyes tested.
Cut a long story short I need a corrective prism in one eye to stop a problem that is causing me to tilt my head whilst wearing NVGs and therefore giving me secondary problems of neck strain!
Any way got a letter today from IPT at Wyton saying that after consulting the Optomotrist at Craners, they have decided that a prism in CFS is not acceptable and will not be funded for flying duties. I have discovered that I'm not the only one with this problem, one of my front enders has exactly the same problem and has been told the same.
So why can some aircrew be as blind as a bat and have robinsons jam jar glasses and be funded for CFS? yet a mear prism in a plain piece of glass and NO!
Any one shed any light?
The SMC is investigating the letter and will let me know.
If I develop further complications in later life due to wearing atwo TV screens 1/2 an inch from my eyes can I take legal action? Does anyone think I'm right in asking for a written explanation from Cranwell? Any ideas peeps?
Any spelling mistakes are due to the fact that I cant see very well
 I'M BLIND I CANNOT SEE MY EYES ARE FAILING ME !
