I read the following on Ryanair.com:
"Minimum criteria for submitting applications is as follows;
European or JAA ATPL
Unrestricted eligibility to work anywhere within the EU
Boeing 737 Type Rating
Minimum 300 hours 737 "
Does anyone know if JAA CPL with frozen ATPL is accepted?

A little churlish I fear Jet A1!
I think a positive mental attitude is by far more important and I guess complying with the stated requirements is a start though there can be extenuating circumstances so a direct enquiry is possible. They are not totally unapproachable ye know (from experience - using your loaf hels - pick up the phone - or send an e-mail).

in reply to your first question, i would think that a JAA CPL with a frozen ATPL would be sufficient as it would allow you to operate as a first officer. This is however just an guess.

I heard their min criteria was "keep going!"
Ryanair took applications from non-type rated F-ATPL pilots up until 5th April this year. They then changed their policy to ATPL, 737 rating, and min 300 hours on 737.
I have recently that they have dropped their Ģ50 application fee as the pool of unemployed 737 rated pilots is starting to dry up although this is not reflected on their website. Also they have been taking on non-type rated pilots since April 5th which condradicts their policy.
So in short, the answer is..... what is the answer?

I still personally think it is a scandal that FR were able to get away with that caper of fifty quid...And extras if they like the look of you...Wouldn't get away with it in any profession, especially when recruiting Professionals which we all are !!!
Thats my opinion - Ready to be shot to pieces but so what !
FR only gets away with the fifty quids fee IF applicants are willing to give their CC number which make them the true culprits therefore the ones to get the blame.
Personally I didn't bother and never will.

Jet A1, like me you think of yourself as a professional and expect to be recognised as such, quite rightly so. I don't fly 73s but what I do, I do it meticulously and with dedication, hence why I do not expect to be charged for the right to offer that level of professionalism.
Only down to the individual mind you.

If you read the Ryanair statements on their website they will pay you back the 50 pounds if you are employed with them. And yes they will take frozen ATPLīs. They are in need of pilots and will be for some time. They are getting 13 a/c in a few monts, 5 dec. and 5 in jan and 3 before the summer season.
