Having just upgraded to XP I am finding problems downloading pages from Newspapers. I get the front page and then when I select a number of other pages my laptop seems to stop talking to that site. If I select a completely different site it again works fine. Is there a setting that causes it to stall or is it a time setting for the page to load. This only happens when I'm going through Hotel switchboards (28.8) but I didn't have the problem with ME. Any advice appreciated.

is it only on graphic intensive sites? have you tried after disabling images?

tools > internet options > advanced > multimedia > show pictures

you might try XP Service Pack 1 and there is also a service pack available for IE6

all these will be offered to you at windowsupdate.microsoft.com if you dont have them, or failing that you can get them at ;

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.asp

http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default.asp

You'll probably need broadband to download these, you'll find XP SP1 on cover disks for good PC magazines

Try these and let me know if no joy
