I know that when this forum was first started there was a great amount of interest in Wisley Aerodrome in Surrey - home of Vickers and the VC10.

I heard recently that the airfield has been sold by its present owners (the Alan Mann Group of Fairoaks) to Legal & General.

Does anyone else have any information, or is this the beginning of a new housing estate....?

As ever, I think we should be told!!

Well obviously the DfT never listened to my suggestion for Wisley to be a field for surplus RJ's and Dash 8s etc. Would have been much better than 3rd LHR runway, an extended Redhill or Cliffe etc. Ah well, another one of London's hardtops gone..
