I think we can all come to the conclusion that Aer Lingus are not going to take on any Cadets this year.

Did anyone hear anything?

Spoke to them only yesterday. They've no plans to run a Cadet scheme between now and next year, but,and its a big but, this may change and we've all to keep an eye on the web site and national newspapers etc for any updates. Dont hold your breath...

Lads,
Face facts.Aer Lingus is full.It already has too many new F/Os and no slots for it's new cadets when they come off the production line. Some new guys are getting as little as 4 hrs/month(and before Squeaky jumps in to bite my head off,he can probably confirm these figures).Secondly, from what I hear, the Atlantic fleet is short of F/Os whilst the European fleet has too many with insufficient hours to transfer to the 330 fleet.Rumour has it that new cadets will either be given ground jobs(if available) and a promise at first bite of available seats or will be shown the door.Remember, they did it before and would not balk at doing it again.
regards
TDD
