CPL as opposed to ATPL

I am studying ATPL @ moment but finding it hard, does anyone know if CPL is that much easier. I only what to instruct.

Students tend to find the exam that they are studying for the hardest at that time in their life

Most ATPL students when offered a CPL progress test when I am testing one out believe that it is easier than what they are studying for ATPL

The questions differ in subject area not difficulty

The CPL course content is 2/3 that of ATPL
If you wish to upgrade to ATPL thereafter you will need to take 13 ATPL exams (only VCOM) gets the credit

If you are likely to want an instrument rating in the 3 years after completing you exams, then do the ATPLs, it saves a lot of hassle. If not, and if you can find somewhere teaching the CPLs, then go for it. Large parts of the syllabus are not covered, though in many subjects the toughest parts will still be there I am afraid!

Send Clowns basically is correct.

Do not even bother with a CPL. Bite the bullet and get an ATPL. Why do you think few schools offer CPL groundschool, or in modern language "grounds 'cool".

As I have said B4, rocket science degree not required.
