I passed my Class 1 medical two years ago - this was done prior to a sponsorship interview to aid my chances of selection, as well as proving to myself that I do not have any medical constraints with regards to pursuing a flying career. However, I have let this lapse by 2 years now (gulp!), because (rightly or wrongly) I did not wish to renew it until necessary due to costs etc.. I'm now hoping I have not made a terrible decision and risk having to attend Gatwick again and fork out another £400 ! Some people have told me that I should be able to pop into an AME and get it renewed quite easily - completing the examinations required after said period of time. Can anybody confirm this please ? Will it be an issue....??
