I think you will find that if in 2003 you have five years to go to your exit point then you will get a retention bonus assuming you have applied and agreed to stay in.:)

What I meant was..how much is it to be next year...when are they likely to announce it..I ask only because I am serving far away and don't have much contact with 'Mother Light Blue'!

It suggests that the FRI won't be changing in 2003, but who knows?

Dont worry about when the FRI will be announced. I would be more concerned about when the MoD asks for its money back!!

As I understood the (not very clear) briefing early this year, the FRI system was now in place tfn (however long that is) and the rates would be announced normally with the AFPRB report, ie, in about Feb.
