Hi All
I have sat "numerous" airline selection tests over the last 12 months with NO success!!
Are these tests a good indication ,that i will be unable to pass an intergrated ATPL course.Or just that i do not fit the airlines profile!!! <img src="mad.gif" border="0">
I am seriously considering a full time course next year(will have to sell my house) and carrying out my dream :)
Could this be a expensive flop? I have a JAR66 B1 license so studying is NOT an unfamiliar past time!
Thanks in advance for any replys.

dunno about the tests. Jar atpl theory requires good level in math.

Jar frozen atpl is an expensive flop, there are no jobs out there even with 1000 hours. It wont improve soon. So be careful before selling your house ! you have been warned
stay with ppl, buy yourself a share in an airplane but dont waste 50k on a frozen jar atpl !

Before your next step, I would suggest that you take the GAPAN tests. That way you'll get an actual personal assesment at the end and you'll have a much better idea of your chances than a simple 'sorry not this time letter'.

I think they're about £150 so they're not cheap but like I said you'll get a much better idea of where you stand.

Also don't listen to me, or any others especially when it comes to negative comments such as the post before mine. Of course the industry will pick up, do you think the world will stop having holidays from now until the end of time?

Anyway whatever decision you come to, I'm sure it'll be the right one, just remember if you REALLY want to become a professional pilot YOU WILL, as long as you want it more than anything else, and don't let others get in your way!

Best of luck!

Get yourself a class 1 medical. If you cant gain that there will be no point spending big. Do some private flying. Tell the next interviewer that, if unsuccessfull, you will still be chasing aviation as your career. Little items show you are more committed than the next guy. And if still no joy, join the rest of us and do it the hard way.
