I've just launched myself on the long road of trying to obtain sponsorship - I've applied for BA (beginning of the year, heard nothing re: rejection/aptitudes yet - any one else?) and just got the forms through from Cabair (KL/JE).

How do you go about being within BA's (supposed) 'maximum ideal' hours and being experienced enough for the Cabair thing (they apparently want 150 hours) - can it be done? I really want BA (varied route/fleet reasons) so should I hold back on advancing my PPL????

Any other wannabee BA people out there who recently applied - how is your application going??

I've known people get into the BA scheme with 170 hours. I think the key factor is what type of ratings you hold. If you already hold a twin or IR, then i'm quite sure that you are deemed overqualified for the cadet scheme. Having an IMC/night etc is fine. Best advice is to contact BA at cranebank.

Good luck
