Monkey on the Runway @ LHR [Archive]

Back in the early 70s, an Alitalia DC 9 landed on 28L and reported a monkey sitting by the edge of the runway. It had escaped from the nearby RSPCA unit.

Anybody remember this ?

I believe the monkey is now a NATS manager....:)
