View Full Version : A new name for Gulf Air?

Heard a whisper that Gulf Air may consider changing their name and livery etc, in a new corporate identity makeover (hate that word) to be introduced circa April 2003.

Can anyone with an inside line at Gulf Air perhaps shed any light on this rumour?

And with regards a new name, any suggestions?

I quite like "Golden Falcon" or "Arabian Wings" - although these are already brand names in use.

Giza,

Air Bahrain would be a logical title, given the true base of the carrier. But, what about the Abu Dhabi and Omani interests?

(Albeit, Oman now have their own carrier, but the Emirate of AUH doesn't.)

I suppose that "Air Bahrain and Abu Dhabi" is a bit of a mouthful?

A300Man, “Air Bahrain and Abu Dhabi” might be a rather unfortunate choice in an industry where acronyms are widely used.

Think about it… Air BAD?
