I've just got back in the UK after 4 weeks in Perth, Western Australia, and am beginning to realise just how much I hate this country.

So, the new plan is to emigrate to Aussie land and do my ATPL, or possibly an aviation diploma, there instead and hopefully get a job with Virgin Blue or QANTAS, after hour building as an instructor for a while.

I've done a bit of research on the 'net and in aviation magazines in Australia, and found loads of flying schools. At the moment, Peter Bini Advanced Flight Training, Moorabbin Flying Services, General Flying Services, BAE Systems, Johnston Aviation Services and Flight Training Australia seem the most likely candidates. Has anyone got any comments on these flying schools, or any other recomendations.

I would be particularly interested in getting in contact with existing or former students.

Thanks for your help!

I agree with you completely, life in Australia just seems a lot more exciting, but the question is can you gain employment out there easier than the uk.

I would do your homework before coming to Australia as we are over populated with pilots without jobs. There are more trained CPL & ATPL pilots than positions available here in Australia.

Take a look at the other discussion threads;
