October 2023 and the clock started, those leaving now are getting their RSS realtime, but has anyone else (retired prior to 1/10/23) has their RSS?

What's a "RSS"?

From my conversations with folk who have left late 2017 thru 2020 it’s a simple no, nothing, a duck 🦆

I am due my RSS sometime, latest apparently by Oct 2025, but I do know more than one who have actually come out better for it……

I work with probably a dozen relatively recently retired former aircrew who are all in scope for the 2015 McCloud remedy. None of them have received an RSS with the exception of one pilot who left the RAF in Oct 23 and received his as part of his leaving paperwork. At this rate, I seriously wonder if the MoD will achieve the 100% target by April next year. So much so, that I’m tempted to ask through the FOI route as to how many people are in scope, what percentage of that number have so far received an RSS and how many full time staff are dealing exclusively with this issue. Noting that we are roughly through one third of the timescale!

I’ve had nothing, but fully expect a rush straight after Xmas.

I suspect the rush may start in May 25 following an announcement that they had no idea how many people were involved and the complicated scale of the operation etc..as an excuse for being late.

On a separate note, I’m expecting a pension rise starting this week but have had no communication of any sort with the pension people stating what my new pension should be. Is this normal or should I expect a letter several months later?

You'll get a P60 and a letter from Equinity confirming your new monthly pay. This month may be somewhere between what was and what will be, next month's will reflect the whole 6.7% rise.
