Hi,
I am still dealing with the CAA regarding my loss of Class 1 medical due to a provoked (explainable cause) seizure that I had in late 2022. I haven't flown commercially since then and the Neurologist who I saw initially stated that, potentially have a risk of a seizure to be below 1% in 5-years time. Therefore, not knowing the context of this at the time, the CAA have said 'Re-apply in 5-years time'. I have never had a seizure before, or family history of it.

Does anyone know of any aviation related Neurologists in the UK?

Thanks,

Is your AME not able to refer you to someone?

He did refer me to someone, who wrote his report last year stating the 1% in 5-years time, and having no knowledge or understanding of this rule, we sent everything off to the CAA and that is what they picked up on. My AME has said to appeal the decision with the CAA / request a secondary review and I'm just waiting on the outcome of this.
