I have none of the info you asked for, however, I did work in the Tyre Bay, and used to replace the Hunter Brake pads, held in place by rivets. A very easy task.

Asbestos warning labels all over the packaging though, but maybe there is a new, safer material.

Try asking here, some of the Bruntingthorpe guys may be able to help out.

Hi Toller
There are some Hunter A.P's on this website - not sure if much info on the brakes as you might need to find a copy of the component A.P. for a detailed diagram/picture.

From memory Hunter Brakes were similar to the later Canberras - Chrome plated solid Copper multi Ring type with Maxaret anti skid units.Every so many landings we had to adjust the brakes by removing the locking clips - winding the brake pistons in until touching the discs and then winding them back out (4 Flats ?) to give operating clearance and then refitting the locking clips.
