Already operating, they are looking to speak to B747 / B777 type rated pilots who fulfill the the usual criteria e.g. the right to live / work in the UK.
Friend works there, enjoys it good people , good atmosphere. Apply via their website www.oneair.aero

Anyone know why their second freighter G-ONEE was flown to Victorville last week ?

Was there recently. The day comprised of 2 group exercises (no building stuff) followed by a HR interview with lots of 'tell me about a time' questions. No tech. Everyone hangs around till 1430 for a group Q&A. If you pass (result via email some days later), sim check after several weeks (747). Company had delays securing AOC and US operator license so lost some pilots but no one was forced to go because of lack of work. All licenses now secured with expansion on horizon. 3 x 747s due to be online end of April. At least 2 x 777s later in the year which are apparently brand new. They say they have lots of work far beyond their current capability to deliver. The two main guys have been in the freight game for 2 decades, this is their latest venture. They need to hire a further 100 pilots by this time next year. Very open to non-TR (30k bond over 3 years). Most of us on the day without Boeing exp, half of us never flown wide-body. Pay: Base (estimate with variable pay)... Capt: 122k (150k), SFO: 88k (112k), FO 74k (98k) and SO 32k (54k). Usual LOL, medical, cover down route as one would expect for a LH carrier. Forget asking about rosters and length of rotations, it's going to change given the evolution to come and given venture into the US. They also plan to do lots of adhoc stuff. Expect 3 trips a month. UK company and AOC so UK license and UK work rights required.

Hi smooth airperator,

How much is the hourly/day rate ?

Smooth Airperator

Per diems are £4.50 per hour, £108 per 24hr operating away from base. There is a "discretionary overtime payment" for all block hours above 60, not sure if that is included in the higher amounts above.

Any chat on the 777s arriving? Early days I know but have they the intention/capability for internal command upgrades?

Thanks

They explicitly stated all current hiring is for the B747. B777 deliveries are down to Boeing and could be as late as December. Sorry, no idea about internal commands. Though looking at the type of operation this is and the fact that it's a start-up it will be unlikely.

Thanks for the info. It's what I thought too. It looks an interesting job.

Interesting thread. Does anyone recently through the process have info on psychometrics and / or sim profile?

Interesting thread. Does anyone recently through the process have info on psychometrics and / or sim profile? Heard the whole thing is conducted by clerks from HR, no pilots! Can't spare them I guess.

they are capable of internal upgrades . The question will be who goes on the 777 as there are several P1/2s with it on their licence and experience on type

The thread title is misleading They are no longer based out of LHR

I now have an assessment on imminently. Any further steer on subsequent psychometrics and / or sim profile? Which provider, battery of tests? Do they use Cut-e? Training providers with a 747 sim? Should be able to give some info back in the next couple of weeks, hopefully.

I think they are upgrading a few on 747.
777 much later in the year now due Boeing delays
