Skyward express passenger management

I just boarded a skyward express F-50 at HKNW. Engines stopped, but no cones and they let pax walk literally between the prop blades as they approached the door.

That doesn’t seem like good practice to me? I have always had it drummed into me to never walk through the prop arc. I made a detour around the end of the wing!

I fly frequently with Skyward and whenever i fly with them, there are cones on the ground and employees taking care that you do not walk " out of line ".

Same experience i always made at HKUK / Ukunda Airstrip with the skyward flights.

Doesnt mean that i cant imagine that it happened the way you experienced ;-)


Just for Info: The F-50 is not from Skyward. It belongs to Renegade air. Last time i flew on it it even still had the Renegade Air Safety cards.

Thanks, it must have been an off day! But they also fired up the engines, trundled onto 14 and took off immediately without any kind of run-up. I don't know if that's OK practice on turbo props, but it all seemed a bit rushed and we left the ground within inches of the grass at the end of the runway.

As long as it isn't the first flight of the day, departing without run-ups is quite common on turboprops.
