Looking for opinion, offered for DEFO position with both airlines, A320 on Jetstar and fleet TBC for Singapore Airlines. Curious if any insiders have info on the working conditions in both airlines?

Understand Jetstar has better basic but min hours is 60 to get the hourly allowance. Any advise is appreciated!

Go for Singapore airlines, the allowance will be higher when you start flying. Assuming you don't end up on the 737, the destinations and layovers are nice and don't forget other benefits like deadheading in first class and superb staff travel.

Jetstar Asia will get you a quicker upgrade but that’s about it. Unless you’re 40+ and can’t afford a 14 year wait to command, join SQ and enjoy an airline career with a legacy carrier.

Congratulations! I'd vote for SQ without any doubt. Job security > a promise to quick command. JSA is a small operator that can stop operation at the whim of those puppeteers in Sydney.

Job security at SQ? Tell that to all the expats who were fired at very short notice a few years ago: some of which had had their contracts renewed just days before.

JSA for quicker command

Otherwise, SQ is the choice
