Unusual vapour trails

2 just seen this afternoon, at the same time -

The first had broken into a series of tildes (~ ~ ~ ~ ~), the other had broken into a series of rings (like smoke rings).

Never seen these before!
(I have discounted chemtrails! :))

Seen similar effects many times, turbulence, aircraft wake, something occasionally imbues vapour trails with the beloved "doughnuts on a rope" effect so beloved by conspiracy theorists Aurora fans...

By the way, the absolute best trails are generated by the Smokewinders occasionally fitted to Sea Furies - absolutely fabulous writing pythons of smoke which often end up as smoke rings. Don't think I've seen any other type provoke such amazing traces.
