Hi,

So of course in the UK, when you complete CFI training, you would be able to instruct on the helicopter type (e.g. r22) that you completed your training and course in. Assuming you now want to gain the privilege to instruct on a new helicopter type (e.g. hu269), what would the process be?

I can’t seem to find anything on the CAA website or on other forums…

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I would like to clarify that I am based in the UK, and therefore only looking for UK CAA legislation

I'm not sure the FAA would let you take your CFI test in the UK... The CAA would let you do an FI course though, then I suspect you'd be allowed to teach anything for which you're type rated ?

We’re confusing a lot of things here. Usually type implies 5 hours PIC but again FAA is clearer on this. What is the CAA involvement?
