Oh it’s been such a bad few months.

There was a witness for this one that saw “it slam into the side of the mountain”. Wow.

Hmmm…. what has been reported so far!

Mackay Whitsunday Detective Inspector Emma Novosel said a member of the community who lived in the Finch Hatton area had heard a light aircraft flying overhead “and suddenly a distant noise”.
She said when the community member no longer heard the plane he phoned triple-0 just before 9am prompting an aerial and land search for the possible crash site.

I should have quoted the article. There's all sorts of variations on it. I legitimately quoted word for word. My use of the word "wow" was more of a "oh really?" response.

Another says this:

"Emergency services were alerted on Saturday around 9am after witnesses reported seeing the aircraft come down near Finch Hatton."

It appears that the aircraft was a Socata TB20.

Is the TB20 the same as a TB200? The only TB20 series I ever saw around the country was VH-LWR which had a BMW symbol on the tail, painted yellow white from memory, and a red TB21 retractable but never saw it again.

There are 24 TB20’s on the CASA register. Just one TB200. The TB200 has fixed undercarriage. The TB20 has retractable undercarriage.
VH-LWR is a TB200 according to CASA.

TWR? That's a PA31.
