Wonder if DAR was involved? He was doing some test work on the aircraft previously.

No, I was not involved in this flying, it was another crew. They are shaken, but okay. The program will continue, with a delay....

Any idea DAR of what occurred, appreciate it might be inappropriate to say.

'Too early to say what happened. I had email with one of the pilots today, but we must wait for the accident investigators to do their thing. Fortunately, the powerplant system collects lots of data, which I and other team members had downloaded for all the flying as it was accomplished. There will be ample data for the investigators, and eventually the rest of us.

The boss emailed me today, and said that the program will continue, which delights me, he really has perseverance! I had about 60 hours flying that airplane on wheels, and it was magnificent! The next one will be even better!

I heard something to do with FADEC on that engine. Max 20% power. Or started out good and wound back to that.

Though I am limited in what I can say, the review I have done of data downloaded does not suggest a problem with the engine, nor FADEC. I see no concerns about pilot error, indeed, the handling was pretty darned good at a difficult time, and the airframe was as it should have been. It'll be a while before the investigation is complete, and the prime cause published, but the team knows where to look now....
