It costs at least HK $800,000 to join the HK International Aviation Academy Cadet Pilot Program.
Graduates will have the chance to join HK Express, HK Airlines or Greater Bay Airlines as second officer.

Since there is no long haul flights for those 3 airlines and it is believed that their second officers will go to the right seat and serve as FO directly.
It could be a fast track to build your hours and gain solid experience in take-off and landing within a short period of time.

However, the employment is not guaranteed and you may end up with jobless after graduation from the program.

Any thought everyone?

This model has been running by many airlines since years ago somehow they gave up on CX 's model and brought this idea and used it on their own, so it's nothing new. Problem is, with the current relaxed immigration policy why would anyone want to pay 800K upfront where they could put their money on a better program with better training facilities? Also, employment is not guaranteed as you mentioned, doesn't look attractive at all.

Can you give a couple examples of better programs?
