Oh no! I think Peter did my RPPL test at RQAC. Was a good fella.

I worked with Peter in Airlines PNG days (Now PNG Air) around 2010. He was a Training Captain on the DHC-6 Twin Otter, while I was flying their Dash 8 balus out of Honiara at the time.
Peter was very highly respected by all who had the fortune to fly with him or know him.
He was meticulous and proud of his meticulous, rather old fashioned way of doing things and was always an extremely careful Aviator.
Following his PNG career, he moved onto to Country Capital at Tamworth where he carried out Instrument Rating Theory and Practical Training where he displayed his amazing Instructional ability to the fore.
We old time Aviators will miss you Peter.
Vale to a loyal and trustworthy talented Aviator.

I had the great good fortune to have Pete mentor me on my instructor rating many years ago at Flight Training Australia at Archerfield.

I learned so much more about proper handling of an aeroplane than I had ever been taught during my CPL training and I am grateful to this day for his input.

Rest well Peter.

I worked with Pete in QLD for a while, what a kind and truly capable bloke he was. Calm measured approach to flight instruction filled with heaps of good info and tips. He did my Islander endorsement, would have to go down as one of my more memorable ones, he created a fun, professional, practical learning environment that I’ll never forget.
Such a loss
Rest peacefully Pete

Peter was doing the ATPL exams at the same time as me, about 20-25 years ago. We later crossed paths in the Upper Hunter/New England scene.
A good man. Vale Peter.

Peter Goodhew was stationed at Charleville in the early 1990's as an RFDS pilot, flying C90's. I first met him when he worked for RQAC in the 1980's.
We formed an aero club here at Charleville in the early 1990's. Peter and his wife Jan both did some instructing during their time here in Charleville.
I have a couple of lines in my Logbook, with Peter as instructor.
He was a very nice bloke and a good instructor.
Many a beer was consumed as he he would regale the assembled aero club members, with tales from his flying life.
Equally, some of us have a few good stories to tell about Peter, as well :ok:.

Peter: "Listen here, dear boy".....usually when you had done something wrong.
