Yesterday approx 1500 hrs, for short while Heathrow switched arrivals runway 09L to 09R and vice versa, with departures on 09L.
any info for this, when they say it is not possible in general.
Thanks

Air display at White Waltham.

There appear to have been around 55 09L departures over a period of about 90 minutes.

I think the argument is that they can't keep that up all day.

Went out 2nd and back 8th from T5. All went very smoothly. I will add that it is irritating to have to pay to book at T5 Aspire Lounge, when I already Priority Pass. But food and drink was OK, although I note that they are also reducing the range.

I've given up on the BA lounge in T5 - its always very crowded and I can find a quieter corner elsewhere

The last time we were in the BA T5 lounge, last year, we found the food to be forgettable. The staff were OK but they were still on the 'order by your phone' which might save them money but reduces the place to near zero.

When we returned from this short trip, we used the Priority Pass lounge at VCE. Good food, spacious, great view of the runways. We will be in the TF BA lounge again in a couple of months and will report back.

I was trying to remember the last Lounge anywhere that was genuinely special.................. Garuda in Jakarta and Thai in Hong Kong (that was superb) about 8 years back I think

They're all rammed and average - SQ in Changi, BA in LHR, Emirates in Dubai..............................

Indeed. Whilst general booking was around before Covid, it was in the scramble to get pax afterwards that seemed to bring in the: Why not start your holiday in a special way? Include a lounge pass for only £nn per person.

Then everyone jumped on that bandwagon. We do not do nearly enough travel to get to Gold and the top lounges anymore.
