Can anyone help in identifying the type of flying boat shown on this envelope commemorating the Kermesse du Bol d'Air of 1981? It looks a little like a Latécoère 300, but has a pronounced dihedral and what appears to be struts from the tail plane to the upper part off the fin.

Bit like a streamlined Latecoere 300 maybe?

Dornier?

Dornier?

Given the context, I very much doubt it.

Is Latécoère 301 or 302, which have dihedral, not a 300, which has none.

Latécoère Late 300 / Late 301 / Late 302 (http://all-aero.com/index.php/contactus/53-planes-l-m-n-o/5898-latecoere-late-300-late-301-late-302)

Thanks for all your comments. I hadn't realised that the 301/302 had wing dihedral so that's the likely answer - but definitely a touch of artistic licence with that pointed bow!

but definitely a touch of artistic licence

Same with the Concorde, but the Maurice Farman looks reasonably accurate.
