No magenta ALT CST on managed descend

Airbus type question: I was flying an approach with several altitude constraints correctly inserted in the FMC. I selected the platform altitude and pressed ALT button to manage the descend.Why didn’t we see any magenta ALT CST on the FMA. We only had ALT blue on the FMA . It seemed like the calculated path was slightly above the constraints, is that the reason? Any idea? Thank you.

As altitude predictions where above the altitude constraints, ALT was blue. If the calculated path expected a level off in order to avoid busting ALT constraints, in this case you’d have seen ALT magenta.
