I was just looking through some old videos on youtube, and found a BBC clip showing former dictator Mobuto Sese Seko's palace in Gbadolite in tatters. This after years of neglect following Mobuto being ousted in 1997. The footage also showed the local airport, a 3000m long runway in the middle of nowhere where Air France Concorde's did land, after having transported Mobuto on shopping sprees to Paris. This has led me to wonder if any of the pilots of these flights have ever written about their flights into this, lets call it less than desireable location for a Concorde. So, is there any Air France people here who knows any of the pilots in question, or anyone who have seen any stories on these flights?

Not sure if this is the right place to put this question, as I don't know if any Air France pilots might frequent this part of PPRune, but here it goes...
