Anyone here know those schools? Opinions?

P.S. I am specially interested on the ATPL(A) Theory courses, but it would be nice to have some general information/review about the schools.

Hello,

I did multiple search on the forum either threads or posts to find reviews about SevenAir Academy in Portugal, but it seems that I can't find anything.

Any old, current students that could give their insights ? More precisely for ATPL integrated ?

Thank you very much ! :ok:

Last I heard (3-4 months ago), their students were simply waiting for months in order to fly. There was a lack of instructors and motivation. They have a good visual marketing tools but their education quality isn’t the best.
Try to contact some of their students through Facebook and get a better insight

I don't have feedback on the school, but honestly, I would stay away of any school based in LPCS (or any school in Portugal really). LPCS is just to crowded to do any decent flying. Lack of infrastructure, lack of availability, so even in good weather, the rest will not make it up.

Hi

i believe they are moving their operations to Ponte de Sor. Very nice facilities at the airport (including accommodation) but a bit in the middle of nowhere. 1:45 from Lisbon or so. It had been a struggle to attract staff to work In Ponte de Sor for all flight schools ever training from thee. g-Air, L3… don’t know how they are doing these days.

have a significant fleet now but I don’t know if they could transfer the registration from the UK to Portugal yet so might not be available.

I would suggest you contact their current students over Facebook or Instagram

I do believe they have some nice people in the team…

good luck
cheers

To add a little bit into this, flight schools out of Cascais do have better flying opportunities, and Ponte de Sor and Evora are some of those places.
Nevertheless, in terms of GA infrastructure in Portugal, it is still quite limited (you will be flying over and over the same places, airspace is quite restricted, paying a lot, not having a good quality vs what you pay). Moving there is still a better option for those that do live here, but coming from abroad to this, I would not recommend as there are better countries for flying. It sucks saying that about my country, but just go flying someplace else, and come here for other business besides learning to fly.

Hi sbdki and sorry for taking so long to reply, we missed this thread!
We offer an integrated ATPL in Ponte de Sor, our main base! You can choose between a regular option or a Full board (with housing and meals).
Our fleet has 43 modern aircraft, such as Diamonds DA40/42, Piper's, Tecnam and Cessna's you can find all the information on our website sevenair.com
In Ponte de Sor we have a dedicated aeronautical campus to ensure our cadets have the best environment to thrive and more than 330 days of good flying conditions.

If you have any doubts you can book a virtual meeting with a member of our team.

Have a nice day!
