Brown trouser moment, commentator mentions the wind. Always thought the C-123 looked to be a bit of a shopping trolley on the ground...

It does not appear that the airplane was being "flown" once on the runway, but rather driven. I think that if the nose were being held light after touchdown the mainwheels would have carried more weight, and the airplane less likely to roll on the narrow main landing gear, and wheelbarrow on the nosewheel, which did not need to carry so much weight. Once the left mainwheel became light, braking which might have been being applied would yaw the plane to the right. The fact that the airplane is on the ground does not mean that it does not still need to be flown!

Grass runway too - not an obstacle to the C-123 in its service days but might the surface have been a factor in this incident?

Sounded like he was using reverse, crosswind and one slow to go into reverse perhaps? One of our aircraft had a mating with a Thai 123 that ran off the runway, one failed to go into reverse when landing on a PSP strip still wet with overnight dew.

Another angle - I blame wake turbulence from the Birddog!

I blame the right aileron that seems to be applied both times the wing goes down.

As do I - seems very strange :)
