Hello,

I am a modular student (U.K. CAA) and was just wondering if there were any other ways of getting into EasyJet other than their MPL or CAE programs.

cheers

Get 500 hours on an A320 with another operator.
Easyjet Switzerland were still charging turbo prop First Officers 30,000 CHF for an A320 rating.

Plenty of other ATO’s are feeding pilots to easyJet. It is common knowledge that EZY will need in the region of 250 additional pilots outside of their contracted commitments to CAE. Skyborne, FTE and L3 have all sent guys and girls to EZY this year, some modular (though training must be completed with the ATO, CPL through MCC/UPRT).

Failing that, EZY used to run an internal scheme whereby they’d open up positions to pilots working in ops etc, used to be with a free type rating if you’d worked there long enough though I’m unsure if that’s changed.

Manflex,

The only reason FTE, L3 and Skyborne managed to place cadets into Easyjet is because the MPL supply dried up due to covid.

The CAE MPL scheme is now restarted, in 12 months the MPL supply will be up and running again and I suspect when that happens other ATOs cadets will no longer be considered.

The internal scheme, it did use to be 18 months in a ground role, not sure if that is still running. If it is I suspect they will still need to pay 30k to CAE for a type rating.

I will.add news just in Easyjet Switzerland have now opened up recruitment to cadet pilots from any ATO, but still need to pay 30k for a rating. Will Easyjet UK follow?
