I've done some research and it seems to me that most flight schools will charge a premium for remote online EASA PPL theory. I have found these courses online along with practice exams from prices ranging 100e to over 1000e, which is an improvement over what the flight schools charge. Does anybody here have experience in taking an online ground school and then paying for the exams and for hours with an instructor? It seems to me that taking this path could save me a good amount of money in the long run.

It ultimatly depends on your ato.While training for the lapl my ato gave me some 15 year old incomprehensible manuals and the instructors just preached their quote for the day so i had to self study with whatever i could find on the internet and i had to get help from my friends to prepare for the exam.Personally i found online groundschools to be much better since they allow you to study at your pace from the comfort of your home and you get to choose the manuals you like.
