Hello everyone, I wonder if someone may be able to help.
I'm at something of a stumbling block with my second career outside of the military. I've flown rotary for some 20 years and have been lucky enough to have been offered a job. However, I need an initial CAA Class 1.
I'm simply not able to book one in the time I have available - I've been trying for a few months now. There's no availability at Heathrow or London and Birmingham haven't published their dates yet. I've been in touch with all 3 but have had limited response. I've even asked the CAA if they can help in any way, but they can't.
I appreciate I can't necessarily jump the queue and that the initial has to be done at one of the 3 AeMCs but... from the vast experience here, does anyone have any suggestions, contacts, secret tips, tricks or otherwise to help, please?
I'm at a bit of a loss - the earliest appointments are in May/June.
