Australian banks

As a Aussie pilot working in the Middle East, I'm having trouble with banks back home not recognising my foreign income and therefore refusing my application for a house loan/mortgage.
Any suggestions or how do Australians working over here apply for loans back home.
I'm pulling out my hair going around in circles.

Last time I checked Dubai was not part of Australia, but more likely is the fact that your salary is crap and the bank is not interested. Your Middle East salary is based on an after tax comparison and it is likely far far less than most applicants in Australia especially as single income. Recent events would also indicate that your job is not particularly secure.
