This will be interesting to see the outcome, especially with all the others charged so far as well.

The widow of Wilson has furiously demanded that Netflix stop streaming the show until the legal side of things is finished.

If the aligations are tested in a Court of Law, and found to be of wrong doing, its going to be an extremely sad ending for someone whom had the Northern Territory, its natural beauty and Ecosystem of Crocs, not to mention a Global Media enterprise at at his feet. NT Police, ATSB, CASA are lining up for a feast....

If they are making 'aligations' we should be told who the alligators are....:E

Sorry, this is a croc thread.......:)

Dunno, Crab: if you’re talking gators, crocs and lawyers, it could be about our, without doubt, most litigious state-Florida.

gators, crocs and lawyers

Three very closely related species....

Out of curiosity, is the Wrangler related to the gentleman who owned the Metroliner operation which crashed at Lockhart River, and who subsequently perished in a Citation landing incident at Mishima in PNG?

Same last name, which of course may be just a coincidence.

Never heard of any family link so I’m assuming “no”

gators, crocs and lawyers.
Cold-blooded, reptilian-brained, bottom-feeding swamp creatures....

Actually, only one of the three fits the entire description.

Can probably add politicians to those three then

Not a bad description for an operator that fudges maintenance, drains fuel from a crashed helicopter to divert blame and harasses a pilot in his hospital bed, allegedly.

I worked for an operator who fired a guy while he was in hospital recovering from injuries sustained when a PMA blade separated from the rotor head at the root while doing sling ops. Transport Canada later determined that there were voids in the epoxy used in bonding the doublers which caused the blade to eventually fail. This was just the most glaringly obvious example of shady business practices…

Australia doesn’t have a monopoly on assholery…

ATSB releases final report. Grim reading.

Fuel ran out and the sling was dropped at too high a height to be survivable.

Some may dispute that.

CASA determined it was out of fuel before the 1st responders arrived?

I said “allegedly” as it was heard from a source, and it depends who you refer to as the “first responders.” The second egg collecting helicopter was first on the scene.

I think it would be the ATSB that would determine that it was out of fuel. CASA couldn’t determine what they had for breakfast if you showed them the menu.

Here is the actual Atsb report that all the news websites for some reason don't link to:

CASA-approved safety management system was not being used to systematically identify and manage operational hazards,”

What a surprise.

The ATSB also found that CASA delegates removed crucial conditions from crocodile egg collecting authorisations, making it more likely the sling person would be killed if the helicopter’s engine failed.

There will be some world-class ducking and weaving going on in CA$A.
