Good day guys. I got a confusion about EASA requirement of SOJT for first type endorsement. Appreciate if you could provide your insight on following.
1. As per EASA guidelines, OJT for first type endorsement must complete 50% of the tasks mentioned in appendix 2 to GM of Part-66 within 3 years of the application to endorse a type. But nowhere it mentions about a time period for OJT (i.e 1 month / 4 months etc). I enquired from different 145 organizations for their time frames for SOJT and got mix responses. One said 40 working days over few months, and said 35 days and one said minimum 21 working days. So I'm confused what's the real requirement is. Does anyone know the absolute requirements of the time period for SOJT ?
2. Despite days of searching, I only found 4 MROs providing SOJT. They are in Estonia, UK, Czech and Sahjah. Anyone know any other places please ?

Thank you.

I do not know if this helps as mine were granfathered from the old Section L licence. one of the comments in the below link says, as we are no longer in the EU be carefull at going abroad, they may well not be acceptable to the CAA

Hi Omar, you are Right, but for the initial Type you Need a 4 month SOJT, the most Schools cheat the candidates with 10 days, that is PE Training. The most people Forget that for the initial Type you Need a 6 weeks Theory Training in an EASA Approved 147 School, a 10 Days Training in an EASA Part 145 Organization or 147 School and the 4 Month OJT in an EASA Approved 145 Organization.

And as we are no longer in EASA as such I would think the same pertains to UK licencing, although they may accept it you would need to ask first.

For the Part-145, whose principal place of business is located outside the EASA Member states, the competent authority of the maintenance organisation is EASA. In such case, the OJT procedures cannot be included in the MOE, due to the fact that EASA is not a licensing authority.

These are the current 145 companies.
