Many years ago,I remember an airline pilot getting burned by doing his `oxygen ` preflight checks,because he had a waxed moustache.....
Think of the cost of fitting all the `vanity` mirrors in the cockpit for the cockpit crew....and the `non-reflective paint,or MFDs to prevent any `upskirting` of the pilot`s bits....`Oooh,er Missus....`

Having once had the occasion to suffer a dépressurisation ( albeit a slow burner but just North of Goose so it caught the attention ) I’d love to see the result of glitter/ shimmer/ lip gloss etc etc on the individuals face when they don pure oxygen. Something which they are presumably conveniently ignoring.

I think the change is to relax the rules regarding gender of the crew, not their role. Presumably female flight crew are already permitted to wear full glitter/shimmer/lip-gloss/false nails and piercings. Which is nice.

Regarding the Georgian-wig thing, the only problem I can foresee would be finding a compatible headset. Presumably on a Bose or David Clark wig it could all be integrated.
