Whilst on the topic of being ripped offffffff.....

What about this new fuel throughput charge???

Fark me I wanna buy an airport...

.004 cents per litre may not sound like much but it all adds up.

Is that $0.04 as in 4 cents a litre or .004 cents per litre.

Fuel man at YBAF told me that the owner wants to impose a $0.04 cents 'levy' on all fuel out of the trucks.

Hmmmm.....a quick calc. based on a modest 5,000,000 litres a year comes to $200,000 levy on all users at AF.

That's on top of the new landing charges.

YIKES!!!!!

Hey HA lets get some land and build a new DN Airport. We could even have a FREE WASH BAY that works!:D :D:D

What are the guidlines for charging operators at Airports? Is it free reign? Is there a higher controlling body eg. Austell for Telstra and Optus etc.

:)

Well I know not many operators read this site. But this extra fee, one of many fees that has to be paid, is a bit like an oxygen tax.
Is it tangible, can these guys justify this?

What are we getting, for our money?

They have to
1. CUT THE GRASS
2. PAY SECURITY GUARDS ( SO THEY CAN GIVE YOU PARKING TICKETS):)
3. CUT THE GRASS
4. FIX THE WASH BAY ( WHICH WE STILL PAY FOR AGAIN EACH USE!)
5. CUT THE GRASS
6. CLEAN THE TARMAC
7. CUT THE GRASS
8. THE REST OF THE MAINTENANCE I THINK IS COVERED BY THE RAAF
9. MAINTAIN THE GA TERMINAL THAT NO ONE HAS ACCESS TO.
