Whenever I visit Lincoln, I take a walk up the hill to visit that large aviation related and radio bits n bobs shop.
I forget the name, but it sells fuses, valves, bits of aircraft, dials, gauges etc. I usually buy a gauge or dial for a few pounds.
Sadly, this year I learnt of the passing of the owner and wonder on the future of this curiously British shop.

I post this thread for any anecdotes or information on the history of the shop and its owner.

Same thing here, there was an amazing junk/scrap yard that sold a lot of American parts including a pair of P&W engines (reconed) as well as ex thai fan trainers tec ,etc!
On passing in June this year it was all gone and trendy shops built in its place!

There also seems to be a lack of aviation related jumbles and stalls at air shows. I think the days of picking up a part cheaply are slowly disappearing.
